Our first rescue flight of 2016 commenced with the airlift of 19 pups going to new homes; on an extended mission, we fought winds and turbulence for 3 hours to make our way to Rocky Mount, NC, to help these furry friends get to fosters and adoption.
This was the first flight I’ve had where it was so bumpy on the way down I thought I’d have to land in Virginia to keep from getting sick. A calmer stomach prevailed and I forged on to our destination without incident.
After a few moments on the ground to get “settled” we commenced loading of our pawsengers, some of which were outfitted with some pretty snazzy outfits. By time of departure the weather had calmed and the flight home was smooth as could be. 19 more lives saved to see another day <3
